I would consider this experience to be Service and Learning Outcome 4: Show commitment to and perseverance in a fieldwork experience. This was my third show with DDTCo, and I have worked more than 150 hours for them, which shows a lot of commitment. This is an unpaid internship, so I would also consider all of these hours to be service.

Tech Week at Match
This June, I worked with Dirt Dogs Theater Company on their production of A Lie of the Mind. They do their plays at Match Theater in blackbox 3. I have worked on a couple of their productions in the past, and I really enjoy working with a professional company. I run the light and sound boards for the shows that I work on with them. For this show, tech week was from May 19th to May 23rd. Tech week is always very exhausting and time consuming (I usually have to be there for about 6 hours every night), but it is very fun because it it the first time I get to see and run through each show, and sometimes I get to help with the set. This week I got to help paste pieces of maps and papers to one of the walls.

Carrie Performances
On Friday, May 17th, and Saturday, May 18th, my cast had our performances of Carrie the Musical. Below are some photographs of our performances.
This performance demonstrates Creativity and Learning Outcome 4: Show commitment to and perseverance in a fieldwork experience. We were rehearsing for this show for many months, and were somewhat worried about it at some points, but we persevered, and the shows were great!

Rehearsal for Carrie the Musical
This semester, I am in Carrie the musical at Wildfish Theater. We have been rehearsing every Sunday, and are only a couple weeks away from the show. My character is named Helen. It is a pretty small role; mainly ensemble with a few lines. I am really enjoying my part. Carrie is a really fun show overall. The opening number has great music and the destruction scene has super cool staging and tech. Our costumes, hair, and makeup are also fun because Carrie is set in the 80s. I am very excited for our performances.
I think that this Carrie rehearsal demonstrates Creativity and Learning Outcome 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively. Our show has a huge cast, and we couldn't make it a good performance without all working well together. We also have a lot of fun rehearsing together. Additionally, I have a double in this show, which means that I am in half the shows and she is in the other half. We have to work a lot together to make sure we are both up to speed on what we are supposed to be doing.
